Mission: Big Picture Alliance’s mission is to engage and educate underserved youth in developing academic, life and job skills through the inspiring and transformative process of creating digital media and communication arts.
Programs: The BPA REELFilms experience is a digital media arts education program designed to engage youth, primarily middle and high-school-aged in the art & science of digital media and filmmaking. An innovative program blending the best of youth development with media arts education and literacy, students find a creative outlet for their powerful voices while developing academic, life and job skills.
REELFilms CORE Offers academic day residencies and afterschool learning opportunities. twice a week for 2 hours.
REELfilm summer: 4-6 week summer learning experiences offered four days a week for 6 hours/day.
REELfilm FELLOWS: . On-set internships offering youth opportunities to take learning to the next level working on local productions to build their reel and resumes.
BPA programs take place at partnering public and charter schools, community organizations, art centers and other sites throughout all Philadelphia districts, surrounding counties as well in schools and organizations based in Camden, NJ.
